QOD #5 Why do we seek love?

Answer: Love allows us to be our true and authentic self.

When life can be full of indecision and uncertainty, it's understandable why one would build walls like Berlin to keep the fascist heart-breakers out. However, there is a source within us that continually looks to relinquish control, tear those walls down, and reveal the goofy people we really are. Let's get real, it's common knowledge that everyone laughs at farts in the bathtub, has danced in the mirror...naked, and sometimes dreams of being able to fight Chuck E. Cheese.

Now,  there may be half-likes but there sure as hell are no half-loves. Love is 100%. Love is certain. You are either all-in, or all-out. When all-in, love can be all-amazing. When all-out, you develop an excellent understanding to why "there is a thin line between love and hate." This natural emotional polarity makes love one of the strongest forces of the universe.

Truth is, sometimes it's hard to see something in the world that you're willing to risk it all for. So, we continually seek the person/moment/time that will blow our hearts wide open to and allow us to put down our daily armor. Love is Surrender. We seek love because love is the purest form of truth we are ever going to get.

With Goofy-ness, Brett
